I’ve been a news reporter and journalist for nearly twenty years.  I’ve covered big city stories about education, politics, social justice, families and children.  I’ve also spent the last ten years in a smaller city where I hosted a radio interview show.  I toyed with the idea of writing novels but honestly, it’s not my thing.  My goal is to write from my heart, to share my ideas and opinions.  The challenge is to be as open and honest as I can be.  My profession trained me to stay out of the story, to be fair, balanced and let the reader draw her own conclusions.  I’ve told the stories of many people over the years and now, finally, I want to tell my own stories, in my own voice.

So, who am I?  I’m a woman of a certain age (okay, late 50s), married to my college sweetheart, and mother of three amazing grown children.  My big adventure, so far, was raising my kids.  Seriously.  I loved it.  Like, a lot.

I’m from Los Angeles but for the last ten years I’ve lived in Nashville, TN.  Yep, the South, the Bible Belt.  Oh, and I’m Jewish.  I love being Jewish and being part of a community.  I love my culture, the food, the holidays, the Hebrew language and I love Israel.

My friends call me a cheerleader, my mother called me a cock-eyed optimist, my kids call me a Jewish mother.  So, welcome to my world.  Keep in touch and let’s Shmooze!
